This being my favorite song on the record; and getting to hear the nuances & thinking of the touches of “ooohhhhaaahhh, ooohhhhaaahhh”s etc. makes my heart so full! 💕🙏🏻
Great song and demo's always bring out the raw flavor of a song. Love this album. Been a HS fan for 20 years and have enjoyed your solo work but this album is next level. I really can't enough of it. The song Shamrock could have been on Springsteens Nebraska. Keep Going!!!
Funnily enough, if you read Lousy With Ghosts, the little book that accompanies the album, you'll find that there is a bunch of back story about the guy Daniel, who features in some of these songs. He's an actor who plays a doctor in a TV show, ends up losing his job and died of an OD in a motel bathtub. And this song is in that world, the nurse is on the TV show too. So if it is clichéd, that could be a whole additional thing.
Wow… I LOVE getting to experience these demos.
I can’t thank you enough for sharing.

Your songs named after couples are always terrific and among my favorites. Thanks for sharing this demo.
Wow, it would be amazing if you released demos properly. Didn't know how much I need them.
cool to hear this version, looking fwd to catching these songs live
Craig, Please come back to LA for a show soon!
And maybe some comments & “thinking” are better kept to yourself… but here we are having to read this crap.
Actually, I think you missed the part about “our inability to completely grasp our loved ones workplaces,” whatever they may be.
Who cares?! I love it.
Craig wrote it, it’s his art and to criticize it for being a Dr and nurse is sadly pathetic in my opinion. I won’t be writing more.

Hard to say, I've never met anyone who has worked in a hospital.
