Was at that Ryman show - looked up into the balcony to see a dude dressed as Angus Young with his foot up on the railing, completely miming the guitar solo at the end of "LET THERE BE ROCK." And there was! The elderly usherette was trying to get him to move back from the edge. An all-time surreal - yet real! - rock and roll moment for me.
I remember Angus, just perfect for the night. There was also a guy dressed as The Dude who was massively disappointed when he couldn't order a White Russian before the show.
Two of our favorite songwriters playing together? Yep, we're in. And, I feel lucky I saw 3 shows on the Rock and Roll Means Well, tour. Those were fantastic.
I was at both NYC (Terminal 5) and the Philadelphia Electric Factory "Rock'n' Roll Means Well" shows and, of course, at the Union Chapel for the show with Patterson and Will Johnson. All wonderful experiences...
Such fond memories of that tour, man. My first big run with the Truckers and first big rock and roll tour in general. Hope to catch y’all on this run!
First time to experience The Hold Steady was the "RnR Means Well" show at the Ryman on Halloween. My soul was saved that night.

I mean, a beverage like that could've really tied his night together! Then again, he should've come prepared to enjoy the show as he likes.... ;)
It is a very long song
Loved the shout out for Ben Hackett. Saw the Charleston SC show and he was incredible
Seeing yall in Dallas, can’t wait!
Can’t wait to see this.

Is this going to be the full run or is there a chance it will hit the East Coast as well?
This is the run.
I'm traveling to see it then, thanks for letting me know! :)
